Tennessee is know for having both metro areas and being full of nature as well. This post focuses specifically on the beautiful Tennessee Sunsets from the different parts of the state. Middle and Western Tennessee are showcased.
Tennessee Sunsets – Middle Tennessee
Sunsets in the middle of Tennessee are most beautiful over the water. The Cumberland River runs through Nashville and thanks to the damn system, provides some lakes along the way. This little corner of the river is known as “Old Hickory Lake” and one I was able to enjoy this sunset a few days before the Total Eclipse of 2017.
The following night I wasn’t over the water, but in Gallatin I was able to catch a good view during the sunset. These horses provided the perfect foreground for the sun leaving us for the night.
Tennessee Sunsets – West Tennessee
West Tennessee is best known for Memphis. This city sits right on the Mississippi River and provides a natural barrier between Tennessee and Arkansas. This river provides transportation to barges, steamboats, and recreational boating. This first image was taken from the top of the Bass Pro Shop Pyramid.
These images were taken from Tom Lee Park at sunset on the Mississippi River.
